Funeral services for Cecil McCracken, 59, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, December 14, 2012, at Hiett’s LyBrand Chapel in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Wills Point, TX.

Cecil passed away December 11, 2012, in Wills Point, TX.

Cecil Lynn McCracken was born August 2, 1953, in Wills Point, TX, to Otha and Juanita Rohus McCracken. He grew up in the Wills Point area and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1973. After graduation, Cecil worked for Creative Wood Works and was later employed by Lone Star Gas Co. Cecil was involved in a serious car accident in 1979, and suffered debilitating injuries that left him disabled. He was a member of Russell Memorial United Methodist Church.

Cecil loved people and spending time with others. He was also an avid Willie Nelson fan.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Juanita McCracken.

He is survived by his sister, Cecelia Looney and husband, Phillip of Wills Point; brother, Kenneth McCracken and wife, Joyce of Houston; nephew, Tommy Looney and wife, Julie of Wills Point; and great nephew, Trever Looney of Wills Point; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday evening, 6:00-8:00 PM, in Wills Point.
